Waters a major player in the world of analytical instrumentation, specializing in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and related software, consumables and services.
We have a great opportunity for a student to join an internship in the Clinical Busines Unit team between
Science an Sales. This would be a great opportunity to develop commercial skills in a scientific environment,
to get familiar with analytical solutions, and to evolve in a team.
As a member of this team you will be armed with the Waters Instruments portfolio then tasked with
developing sales leads into well qualified opportunities, and to deliver incremental after-market revenue.
Effective customer relationship skills, commercial acumen and the ability to effectively negotiate are crucial
to succeeding in this role.
The intern will as well be responsible for the administrative and organizational support of the sales
organization for important tenders in the clinical market. He/she will be involved in tender qualification and
the actual response process (strategy and response formatting).
Responsibilities:
Through a variety of tasks, the candidate will gradually become familiar with the many facets of the Technical
Sales Engineer position (sales activities combined with tender support activities), such as:
- Develop new business and expanding existing business opportunities for the Field sales team
- Investigate dormant accounts in order to re-stimulate growth
- Working with marketing to develop and deliver messaging to promote product offerings and plan
sales activities according to the company strategy
- Quote handling
- Work closely with field sales colleagues, business development and marketing to deliver a high
degree of customer service
For tender support
- Screening relevant published tenders within the clinical diagnostics and forensics industry
- Understanding the requested tender information, and required timelines
- Establishing a solid knowledge base
- Establish communication from a digital location for sharing information between all parties involved
- As co-leader of the tender, organize regular update calls to discuss and monitor progress and hear if
there are any obstacles

Profil recherché :
Qualifications:
We are looking for motivated individuals with ideally the following background:
Education: A background in the sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry) is required (Bac+4).
Competencies:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with liquid chromatography and/or mass spectrometry
- Ability to adapt within the company and to client processes
- Team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills and winner s mentality
- Strong organizational skills and autonomy
- Hardworking and willing
- Strong technical and commercial skills to empathize with customer requirements
- Good knowledge of English
