Objectifs de formation : BTS CIRA

Les apprenants, en suivant la formation BTS CIRA, visent à développer une expertise complète dans la régulation automatique et l’instrumentation industrielle. Ils apprennent à collaborer efficacement dans un environnement professionnel, à identifier les problématiques techniques et les risques, et à communiquer avec rigueur, notamment via des démarches de prévention QHSSE, le tout en maîtrisant un anglais scientifique et technique. En parallèle, ils élaborent des projets techniques : ils comparent des solutions conformes aux normes, extraient des informations pertinentes, évaluent les performances d’une stratégie de régulation et présentent leurs idées de façon claire et argumentée.

Ils analysent par ailleurs les phénomènes physico-chimiques intervenant dans les procédés industriels, en repérant les grandeurs pertinentes et en confrontant des données expérimentales aux résultats attendus. Ils se spécialisent aussi dans l’étude d’installations d’instrumentation et de contrôle-régulation : ils identifient les grandeurs de mesure, étudient les systèmes numériques et réseaux, analysent fonctionnellement les boucles de régulation, proposent des améliorations et représentent les architectures de façon normalisée. Enfin, ils conçoivent des installations de régulation : ils détectent les dysfonctionnements, imaginent des stratégies de pilotage, mettent en œuvre des automatismes, et garantissent la qualité et la performance du système mis en place, toujours en lien avec les contraintes réglementaires et normatives.

Objectifs par blocs de compétences

Les métiers visés : BTS CIRA

Les apprenants titulaires d’un BTS CIRA (Contrôle Industriel et Régulation Automatique) peuvent prétendre à une large palette de métiers techniques au sein de divers secteurs industriels. Grâce à leur formation, ils interviennent en tant que techniciens instrumentistes, techniciens de maintenance en instrumentation-régulation, techniciens d’essais, installateurs de systèmes de régulation, superviseurs de travaux, techniciens de bureau d’étude ou encore techniciens automatisme et métrologie. Ces professionnels sont particulièrement recherchés dans des secteurs variés : les industries chimiques, pétrochimiques, pharmaceutiques ou agroalimentaires, l’industrie métallurgique, l’automobile, l’aéronautique et spatial, ainsi que dans les domaines de l’énergie (production, transport, distribution), du traitement de l’eau ou des déchets, et même dans la recherche et les laboratoires.

Les apprenants peuvent occuper des postes sous la responsabilité d’un responsable de service, avec des missions d’exploitation, de maintenance, de supervision ou de conception. Ils sont également amenés à évoluer vers des rôles d’expertise ou de management, comme technicien technico-commercial, chargé d’affaires maintenance ou ingénierie, formateur, chef de produit ou encore leader technique. Du point de vue du Répertoire Opérationnel des Métiers et des Emplois (ROME), ils peuvent s’inscrire dans des fonctions telles que I1304 – Installation et maintenance d’équipements industriels, illustrant leur capacité à installer, régler, entretenir et optimiser des systèmes automatisés pour garantir leur performance et fiabilité.
